Widgetail

Privacy

Anonymous by design.

We're pre-launch, and this page will get a full legal review before Widgetail is generally available. Last updated September 2026.

The waitlist

If you sign up for early access, we store your email address and a short label recording which button or page you signed up from (for example "waitlist_page:hero"). Nothing else: no name, no company, no tracking pixel in the confirmation. We use your email only to contact you as Widgetail ships. We don't sell it or share it with anyone.

This website

To understand which pages lead to signups, we count clicks on "Get early access" buttons and visits to the waitlist page, recording only the button's placement and the page path. These counts carry no identity and no email address.

When Widgetail's own analytics script is running on widgetail.com, it collects the same anonymous data described below. This site sets no advertising cookies and loads no third-party trackers.

The analytics script

Sites that install Widgetail's script tag send us pageviews, session counts, scroll depth, viewport size, device type, country and referrer domain. Every visit is tied to an anonymous session ID generated in the browser, not a stored identity. It rotates on its own and was never linked to a name or account to begin with.

We never collect IP addresses, device fingerprints, or anything else that could identify a specific visitor. This is a design constraint, not a policy we could quietly change later.

What's not live yet

Value scoring, value-based access for AI agents, the optional payment offer for ad-blocking visitors, and advertiser signals are all still in development (see the roadmap). None of them collect anything beyond what's described above today. Any advertiser signal is designed to expose only aggregate, minimum-traffic-gated data, never individual-level data.
